National Testing Agency (NTA) JEE Main 2023 will be a fully computer based test (online) to be held in two Session January & April 2023.   

JEE MAIN Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTI), Institutions funded by participating State Governments and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE(Main). The (B.E./B.Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced),  which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programs offered by the Indian Institute of Technology(IITs)

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE (Main) comprises of two papers. The Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments, as well as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs.

Session 1 (JANUARY) : JEE (Main) - 2023 : 

On-line submission of JEE MAIN Application Form: 15 December 2022 to 12 January 2023 

Last Date for Successful transaction of JEE MAIN fee: 12 January 2023

Dates of JEE MAIN Examination :  24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 January 2023

Session 2 (APRIL) : JEE (Main) - 2023 : 

On-line submission of JEE MAIN Application Form: 07 February 2023 to 07 March 2023 

Last Date for Successful transaction of JEE MAIN fee: 07 March 2023 

Dates of JEE MAIN Examination :  06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12 April 2023

Declaration of JEE MAIN Result on NTAs website: Date shall be displayed on the NTA website in due course

The JEE (Main) - 2023 will be conducted in 02 (two) sessions for admissions in the next academic session. The candidates will thus benefit in the following ways:-

1. This will give two opportunities to the candidates to improve their scores in the examination if they are not able to give their best in one attempt.  

2. In the first attempt, the students will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and will know their mistakes which they can improve while attempting for the second time.

3. This will reduce the chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste an entire year.

4. If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control (such as the Board examination), then he/she will not have to wait for one entire year.

5. A candidate need not appear in both Sessions. However, if a candidate appears in more than one Session then his/her best of the JEE (Main) - 2023 NTA Scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking.

Choice of Medium of JEE MAIN 2023 Question Papers: The medium of Question Paper shall be in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Gujarati.
The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage.
Please note that for correctness of the questions in all the question papers, the English version will be taken as final.

Mode of JEE MAIN 2023 Examination:

JEE (Main)-2023 will be conducted in the following modes:

a) B.E. /B. Tech. in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.

b) B.  Arch: Mathematics-Part I and Aptitude Test-Part II in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only and Drawing Test –Part III in Pen & Paper Based (offline) mode to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.

c) B.  Planning: Mathematics-Part I, Aptitude Test-Part II and Planning Based Questions-Part III in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only

JEE Main 2023 Application Form:
Candidates have to apply for JEE (Main) -2023 Online ONLY by accessing the websites.
www.nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in .
The NTA JEE MAIN Application Form other than online mode would not be accepted, in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.
More than one application i.e. Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected.

The entire application process for JEE (Main) 2023 is online, including uploading of scanned images, payment of fees, and printing of Confirmation Page, Admit Card, etc. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation Page to NTA through Post/Fax/WhatsApp/Email/by Hand.

The JEE MAIN application form fee could only be paid by using any of the following payment gateways : Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking

JEE Main 2023 e-Admit Card :

The e-Admit Card would be issued provisionally to the candidates through the NTA website: jeemain.nta.nic.in, subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility conditions and receipt of prescribed application fee by NTA.  

Printing of JEE MAIN 2023 Admit Cards from NTA website : Third week of January 2023 (Session 1) & Last week of March 2023 (Session 2) 

JEE Main 2023 admit card will be available for those candidates who have successfully submitted their application form. JEE Main admits card 2023 can be downloaded by entering application number and password. JEE Main 2023 admit card will carry important information like their name, date of birth, paper, gender, city, test centre, state code of eligibility, etc. All candidates must carefully cross-check all the information on the admit card and ensure that the information printed is correct.
 
Note: If any discrepancy is found, the candidates should contact JEE Main Secretariat immediately to get it resolved.
 
Without a valid admit card of JEE Main 2023, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre or take the exam. 

Seat Allocation Process and Admission Procedure: 

Candidates shall be offered admission based on their choices and All India Ranks of JEE (Main) 2023 through a Seat Allocation Process to be announced later CSAB/ JoSAA.
