JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION JEE-MAIN 2022 EXAM ANALYSIS 

JEE Exam 2022 Paper 1 Analysis:

The NTA has changed the JEE MAIN 2022 pattern of the exam. There are 75 questions instead of 90, from each of physics, chemistry and mathematics syllabus. The total number of questions are of 300 Marcks instead of 360 Marks. There were Numerical Type answers (NTA) for the first time in each section of JEE MAIN 2022 Exam. There are 5 NTAs in each of the sections of JEE Exam 2022 Paper 1. The NTAs carry no negative marking.

NTA concluded JEE Main 2022 Paper 1. As per the students, the JEE MAIN 2022 examination was of moderate to difficult level.

JEE MAIN 2022 Overall difficulty - Moderate to difficult

JEE MAIN 2022 Mathematics - Difficult and lengthy. The questions in this section were from Vectors, 3D, coordinate geometry, algebra, differentiation, calculus, parabola and limit.

JEE MAIN 2022 Physics - Difficult and tricky. This section did not have tricky questions

JEE MAIN 2022 Chemistry - Easy. Organic section was tough but inorganic was easy. Physical chemistry questions were mainly from acid and base.

Overall, it’s a difficult paper if compared to previous year paper. If a student is conceptually strong, he must have solved this paper. This year there are more graphical questions compared to last year’s physics paper. Distribution of questions from the Class 11 portions was not uniform across the syllabus. Some areas like Heat & Thermodynamics, Oscillations & Waves retained higher representation compared to areas like Laws of Motion or Motion in 1-D.   

CHEMISTRY :
Overall difficulty level of JEE Main Chemistry paper is almost similar to previous year  paper. In separate sections, Organic Chemistry was easier, inorganic was tougher and Physical Chemistry was nearly same as previous year paper. In contrast to Physics the distribution of questions across areas was more or less uniform. But questions were mostly based on important concepts across units and this means there were no surprise concept questions.

MATHEMATICS :
If compared to previous year, this year’s Mathematics paper is an Easy one.Over all it is a good and balanced paper and a easy one if student had prepared the subject without cramming it. Only few questions would have posed difficulty due to the lengthy nature of these questions.
